Yoga business Ong was in its seed stage, aiming to make Kundalini Yoga accessible through a London-based studio and a subscription-based mobile app that combined yoga with mindfulness. I spearheaded the product vision from the outset, collaborating closely with the founder, a yoga consultant, and a backend specialist. The app featured short-format Kundalini Yoga videos tailored for busy individuals seeking balance in a high-stress world.
We initiated our process with interviews of stakeholders and yoga instructors, followed by a survey to validate our assumptions. These efforts enabled us to develop detailed personas and conduct an empathy mapping exercise in a workshop, providing us with a deeper understanding of our target users’ needs and challenges.
Through user journey mapping, we identified key pain points and opportunities. This analysis helped us define high-level functions and gain insights into user behavior and interaction with the product.

People face challenges maintaining a consistent yoga practice due to time constraints, lack of confidence, or difficulty sticking to a routine.
A video-based practice platform that includes progress tracking and offers short, effective sessions. This approach is designed to fit seamlessly into users' busy schedules and boost their confidence in maintaining a regular practice.
